The Panthers (3-1) took sole possession of first place in the USFL Conference after beating the Showboats (0-4) by double digits, 27-9. Memphis took an early lead but then went scoreless in the second half as Michigan gained control.
Panthers dual-threat quarterback Bryce Perkins threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns, adding 45 yards on the ground. Michigan’s Nate McCrary and Toa Taua each scored rushing touchdowns.
